Description
This 1999 series is one of D. Vangelli's most decorative achievements. The designer combined the dynamic movement of horses with an incredibly intricate, almost jewelry-like background. The figures of the riders and their steeds are presented in a silvery, engraved style, overlaid on colorful geometric patterns inspired by Arabian decorative art. This fusion of bold form and rich detail makes these stamps look like miniature bas-reliefs.
